We are created body, soul and spirit. When accepting Jesus, we are given a New Spirit. But, the soul its Not born again (so it doesn’t end there). It has to be progressively cleansed with the word and obedience to the word of the Lord.

The soul is the one that either goes to heaven or hell. Within our free will, its our decision where we end up. God does not send us to hell, we do. In God’s eternal mercy & hope, He would like us to love Him and accept Him just as we long to be loved as well.

that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word,

Who is “her”? He is talking about the church. The church, regardless of being born-again; has to be cleansed!

When Jesus died on the cross, his Spirit returned to the One Who gave it, God. The body was put in the tomb. But, the soul went down to visit hell. His soul was So pure and without sin, that it couldn’t stay there!

9 (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?

Lift up your heads, O you gates! Lift up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in.

Many of us ask ourselves “what is eternal life?” and we are always seeking the supernatural to answer that question when its more simple than that. Eternal life is to KNOW the Lord.

And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.

Fiery Trials purify us in order for us to become like Christ and Christ minded.

That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

Since you have in obedience to the truth purified your souls for a sincere love of the brethren, fervently love one another from the heart,

Holiness is having the desire & eagerness to sin or to the desires of the flesh, but not doing it because of our Love for Him. Holiness is progressive..

Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

everything that can stand the fire, you shall pass through the fire, and it shall be clean, but it shall be purified with water for impurity. But whatever cannot stand the fire you shall pass through the water.

Many say “I love God and I have tried to stop sinning, but I keep failing”. This is also simple to understand with the progressive renewal of our minds, and by the blood of Jesus.

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect”.

Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.
